Troop 785 is located in Carlsbad, California. We are an active troop that goes camping, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities. We also make sure that all of our scouts are making progress on their advancement trail to Eagle Scout. Take a look at our calendar and camping pages to see what is coming up.

We are a strong proponent of the values and methodologies of Scouting. Scouts are expected to adhere to the Scout Oath and Scout Law whenever they are participating in Troop events. We implement the Patrol Method during all activities and subscribe to the "All for One and One for All" mentality by completing tasks as a Troop.

We believe strongly in the advancement aspect of the Scouting program. We support a scout through his trail to Eagle. In addition to the Scouting skills, there is a strong expectation that those Scouts with the Star, Life or Eagle rank present themselves as strong role models and exhibit leadership traits when participating in activities with the Troop. The Scouts of Troop 785 feel a strong sense of accomplishment when they make rank advancement and we publicly recognize those Scouts who exhibit good leadership.

Troop 785 is truely a boy-led Troop, just as Lord Baden-Powell envisioned. We believe that our program will help our boys turn into responsible young men ready to face the world today.
